Mien Kielo is a women’s fashion brand based in New York, producing inventive pieces influenced by nature. I designed the look books, art directed the photo shoot, created hang tags and business cards, and brought everything together in a responsive web site.
Jess, the designer was heavily influenced by the book “A Wild Sheep Chase”. In order to really understand where she was coming from as a designer, I started by reading the book and immersing myself in her sketches, notes and thought process. All of the background knowledge helped make the design process incredibly smooth. The result is a cohesive design, with clean lines, minimalist color scheme, and high-end finishes (hello, letterpress!)
